Insurance cover will only begin when we receive your payment and we issue confirmation that cover has begun. We can only sell policies over the phone currently but plan to extend this to the internet in future.
Most policies we sell are annual policies which end one year after the start date of cover (unless cancelled before then). However, there are exceptions to this. For example, single trip travel insurance lasts for the number of days you choose. In all cases, we will tell you how long the policy lasts before you buy and your policy documents will show this information too.
If you are paying for your insurance by instalment plan or debit/credit card in your own name, we will automatically renew all your policies, unless you have asked us not to. We will write to you before the renewal date to remind you of this and to let you know what the policy terms and new payments will be.
If, after buying a policy from us, you decide to cancel it, please call us. In most cases, we will be able to take your instruction over the phone. Alternatively, you may write to us. Your policy documents will show the full cancellation procedure. For motor insurance, you will need to return the certificate of motor insurance to us within 7 days of the cancellation date.
