No Snoozing for Kwik Fit Insurance as ’Duvet Day’ fundraiser gets underway

Over 500 employees donned their pyjamas and made their way into work for Kwik Fit Insurance’s first charity fundraiser of the year.
Each member of staff paid £1 to scrap their work clothes for the day and come into work with their PJ’s on, raising over £500 and kicking off the fundraising for 2008.
The fundraiser ties in nicely with the company benefits policy which allows staff to enjoy two official ‘duvet days’ per year as part of their flexible working. Employees can call in just an hour before their shift and elect to take a day off. The pyjama fundraiser also marks the introduction of an additional ‘duvet day’ for employees with five years or more service.
Martin Oliver, Managing Director of Kwik Fit Insurance said: “Our people regularly take part in dress down days but coming in to work wearing your pyjamas is certainly something different for the business.
“It’s a fun way to kick off our fundraising for 2008, but also highlights our flexible approach to holidays and employee benefits.Everyone was delighted with the amount raised – it’s something we’ll continue to build on throughout 2008.”
